Reopened in November of 2018, the new bridge provides a safe and direct pedestrian and cyclist crossing over Forest Park Parkway to the center of the Danforth Campus.
The first phase of Driving Discovery will include the renovation of Bryan Hall, transforming it into the new face of the Department of Chemistry and adding more than 25,000 square feet of research space.
With the completion of the Olin Transformation Project, John M. Olin Library has greater accessibility, new study spaces, more areas for collaboration and instruction, and expanded exhibition spaces to highlight the University Libraries’ unique collections.
The buildings, adjacent to the Charles F. Knight Executive Education Center, include seven classrooms, an auditorium, 75 faculty offices, a glass atrium and numerous forums, lounges, offices and other spaces for interaction and collaboration.
The center will add more than 60,000 square feet to the Washington University Athletics Complex, including the Gary M. Sumers Fitness Center.
The Thomas and Jennifer Hillman Hall nearly doubles the Brown School’s footprint, bringing together faculty, staff and research centers — as well as the university’s Institute for Public Health — that were once spread across four locations to the Danforth Campus.
