What and why
On Saturday, March 10, construction crews will begin to remove masonry and demo the exterior wall of the third floor of Whitaker Hall, in preparation for the bridge connection to Jubel Hall.
Soundproofing measures are in development to mitigate noise in spaces on the south and west sides of Whitaker. Demolition work will occur daily between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Sunday, March 18.
Where to go
During construction, pedestrians approaching campus from the intersection of Skinker Boulevard and Forest Park Parkway will be directed to use Forest Park Parkway to access Whitaker Hall and the inner part of the Danforth Campus.
For emergency egress, exit routes from Brauer and Whitaker Halls will be directed to the east while the bridge work is in progress.
