Party in the Park

Brookings Hall on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis is lit fed to celebrate Convocation.
Brookings Hall illuminated in red served as a stunning backdrop for Convocation festivities.

The mood was celebratory in the freshly minted Ann and Andrew Tisch Park Aug. 17 as 1,736 members of the Washington University in St. Louis Class of 2023, along with their parents, gathered for Party in the Park following Convocation.

The new buildings surrounding The Tisch park helped to light the way as the newest members of the WashU family entered from beneath the Brookings Arch. Brookings itself glowed red in honor of the Class of 2023.

The beautiful new landscape served well as the backdrop for one of the happiest days of the school year. It will be a welcome addition to the East End, providing a place for gathering and celebration for many years to come.
