Hoyt Drive to close for construction Jan. 11

Beginning Friday, Jan. 11, Hoyt Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic for improvements to the north entry to the east end of campus.

Campus access for vehicles

Access to campus from Forest Park Parkway will remain open at Throop Drive, west of the Millbrook Garage. Throop Drive will dead end east of the Rudolph Hall loading dock with no eastbound access to Forest Park Parkway. During construction, traffic on Throop will run both directions.

Campus access for pedestrians

Pedestrian access to the hilltop of the Danforth Campus from the School of Engineering & Applied Science and other points east will be maintained via a paved temporary path along Forest Park Parkway located west of the east end construction fence.

What’s ahead

At the completion of construction at the intersection of Hoyt and Throop drives, traffic on Throop Drive will run one-way westbound. This traffic change will facilitate the flow of vehicles in and out of the new East End Garage. More information about the timing of the one-way implementation will follow in the spring.
