At the onset of construction for the East End Transformation, the university installed three new web cameras to document the progress and allow interested stakeholders to follow along in real time. With construction now underway on McKelvey Hall, a fourth camera has been added.
Located near Skinker Boulevard, the McKelvey webcam looks toward the School of Engineering & Applied Science and offers viewers a perspective of the southeast corner of the new building.
Like the other webcams, images are captured every 10 minutes. For those curious about day-to-day progress, each camera automatically creates a time-lapse video from images captured between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Viewers interested in images from a specific day or time can select a specific image to view through the camera’s calendar feature. The sharing icon allows for pictures to be download and emailed, as well as shared on Facebook.
